Quick-Tracker

Simplifying the management of compliance of MUTCD pavement marking retroreflectivity

The RetroTek Quick-Tracker (QT) software is a web based application that makes it simpler for Road Agencies at State, County or City level to plan retroreflectivity surveys, to prioritize pavement marking maintenance and to demonstrate MUTCD compliance.

Using an ArcGIS platform, the RetroTek-QT enables Road Agencies to have a single consolidated view of the roads under their jurisdiction that fall under the MUTCD ruling and the current status of retroreflectivity compliance. The application facilitates recording any FHWA approved method of assessing pavement marking retroreflectivity (FHWA-SA-14-017).

Key Features of Quick-Tracker:

  • Automates the process for MUTCD retroreflectivity compliance
  • Live performance Dashboard showing compliance status, planning & report generation
  • Integrates an ArcGIS Platform with FHWA road database and other data sources
  • Gathers additional roads data (Speed limits, ADT, Street Lighting etc.)
  • Removes need for manual resources for identifying roads and sections status etc
  • Ensures all roads included and reviewed
  • Identifies roads which require mandatory MUTCD compliance
  • Identifies roads which can be excluded (outside the scope of MUTCD ruling)
  • Includes any compliance measurement method in accordance with FHWA guidelines

Simplified Compliance Management

With a three-stage process, this innovative web-based application enables Road Agencies to quickly identify routes that fall within the MUTCD guidelines for measurement, incorporate retroreflectivity survey data and present a visual geographical map of compliance status with an overall graphical summary of compliance status. This will radically reduce the resource-hours tied up in compliance management and remove the need for managing data from multiple surveys in complex tracking spreadsheets that quickly become outdated.

  • Which of my roads can I exclude that are not covered in the new MUTCD ruling?
  • How much will MUTCD compliance cost our agency?
  • What condition are my roads in now?
  • How do I prioritize roads for MUTCD compliance?
  • How can I combine retroreflectivity data from multiple surveys into one application to give a consolidated view of the current situation?
  • How do I collate all retroreflectivity data regardless of method or equipment used?

Quick-Tracker can help you manage your compliance with MUTCD pavement marking retroreflectivity standards.
