RetroTekUSA Inc., were delighted to support our new customer TBT Engineering Limited in Ontario as they took delivery of their RetroTek-D Mobile Retroreflectometer Unit. Our installation engineer provided onsite hands-on practical training to the survey operators on installing/calibrating the system and performing test survey runs. Our RetroTek engineer also trained a larger group on the use of the QuickView-Pro software for processing survey data, visualizing results and reporting to their customers, including Ontario Ministry of Transportation.
The TBT Engineering team were keen to have comparable retroreflectivity measurements to their handheld retroreflectometer. So we took readings using both the handheld and the RetroTek-D mobile retroreflectometer unit, providing TBT with the reassurance that they were getting the same levels of accuracy and repeatability as handheld devices, but collected at normal traffic speeds and without the need for traffic management, or road closures.
